Taiso = tai (body) + so (harden) is a generic Japanese term for conditioning.

Sport of Japanese origin, first designated as a additional physical activities practised by judo or ju-jitsu players. Today, it appeals to a wider audience that look for a leisure oriented by culture and the physical activity. It presents soft approach of martial arts, without any risk (no fall, not blow). The exercises are varied: cardio-respiratory care, improving stamina and psychomotor balance, muscle strengthening, flexibility and relaxation.
